Dolly Parton has a secret song as well as the key to her 56-year marriage.

This new Dolly Parton song may have to be delayed for another 23 years.

During an interview on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” the legendary singer said that she recorded a top-secret song seven years ago and placed it in a time capsule to be opened in 2045.

“You have no idea how much that bothers me,” Parton explained. “I really want to go dig that up. It’s a fantastic tune!”

The song was written and sung for the debut of her Dollywood DreamMore resort in 2015. The song will be kept in the time capsule until the resort’s 30th anniversary when Parton will be (fingers crossed) 99 years old.

“I don’t know whose freaking idea that was,” she joked.

“They weren’t expecting me at all, and I probably won’t be,” Parton explained. “Who knows, I might be there. That disturbs me: if it rots before they open it.”

Parton recently revealed another secret to ET Canada: how she has been happily married to her husband, Carl Dean, for 56 years.

She explained that it all comes down to giving each other space, noting that “we’re not in one other’s faces all the time” due to her hectic schedule.

“He’s not in the business, so we have different interests, but we still have things we enjoy doing together,” she explained. “I believe that was destiny. He was intended to be the one I had and vice versa.”
