One of the original supermodels of the 1990s, Cindy Crawford’s legacy is still being felt today. Crawford, born on February 20th, 1966, in DeKalb, Illinois, became well-known in the late 1980s after relocating to New York and signing with the Elite New York modeling agency.

She immediately entered the ranks of other famous models of the time, like Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, and Linda Evangelista, and appeared on a historic Vogue cover with them in 1990. Crawford was one of the most well-known supermodels in the ensuing decade, appearing on the covers of illustrious publications and parading down catwalks for prominent fashion designers. She has worked in well-known fashion ads and dabbled in acting.

Crawford ended her full-time modeling career in 2000 to have kids and concentrate on her family. However, she is still employed and has even begun exploring commercial initiatives.

Despite leading a very full and content life, Crawford hasn’t been able to avoid the curious eyes of the general public. The supermodel opened up about aging and how she feels as a woman in her 50s in an interview with The Cut in 2017:

Your physique, your hair, and your skin all change. I take good care of myself, but I know I am a lady in my fifties. There are moments when that’s challenging, and I’m sure my sisters, who aren’t models find it challenging as well.

Crawford also discussed how growing older had changed the way she performed her modeling duties:

You feel a little sorry for yourself because you can’t deliver as well as you did when you were 20 or 25. I want to do a good job and achieve results, but I also realize that my capabilities have changed since I was 25.

Crawford revealed in an interview with New Beauty that instead of elusively attempting to retain the fountain of youth, her current goals are to look and feel wonderful for her age.

“I’ll never look 20 or 30 no matter what I do. I want to look fantastic at 50. I work out, eat well, and care for my skin. Women are under pressure to perform the impossible, despite their age. Nevertheless, it’s more important to appear fantastic regardless of your age.

Crawford posted a video on Instagram in February 2023 showcasing her unaltered beauty. The post’s caption said, “Baby hairs in the sauna.” While many people gushed about the model’s beauty, some were confused.

“Where is your iconic mole?” a particular person specifically enquired. Although it is well known that Crawford has a beauty mark above her lip, it was not seen in the video.

“Disgusted by the comments on here,” said another commenter. She’s a stunning older woman. Stop demeaning women. We must support one another.

Crawford might have been hoping for that, though, as she considered how she would appear if she received bangs and arranged her baby hair to resemble the new hairstyle. She stated, “I notice my daughter’s hair is shiny and healthy-looking; she has my old hair, and I want it back!”

The 57-year-old spoke about this age-related condition. According to Crawford, nobody informs you that your hair will age along with your skin. She went on:

“I think we all anticipate getting gray hair, but I didn’t realize the texture would change, it would become more brittle, it would shed more, and it would generally be lackluster.”
