Chip and Joanna Gaines Make Major Announcement. Send Prayers

Chip and Joanna Gaines have recently announced that they made a major deal with HBO Max. This means that soon they will have content available on the streaming giant and fans of the couple can’t get enough of it. They want to know more.

A story in Variety on August 4 said that the couple who used to star on HGTV and are known for their home repair shows and their successful Magnolia Network are going to try streaming with HBO Max. A major change that their fans are getting excited about.

The Gaineses, in partnership with Discovery, debuted the Magnolia Channel last year. Soon after its debut, Decider listed the Magnolia Network as a top 25 basic cable network. This was followed by five Emmy nominations.

Then, WarnerMedia and Discovery joined together. So, the recent decision to put some of the Gaines’ content on HBO Max is an early attempt to bring together WarnerMedia and Discovery’s content.

Even if not all of the Gaines’ content will be available on HBO Max when it launches in September, some of the most popular shows with fans will be among those offerings.

So what will be available to stream on HBO Max?

All five seasons of “Fixer Upper” which is the Gaineses’ signature show on HGTV from 2014 to 2018 (the pilot ran in 2013). As well as with “Fixer Upper: Welcome Home,” “Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines,” “The Lost Kitchen” and so on.

Many viewers also are excited about the new “Fixer Upper” series, “The Castle.” This is expected to be released on October 14 on Magnolia Network, HBO Max, and Discovery+. According to Variety, the new series will follow the Gaineses as they restore their castle in Waco, Texas, which dates back to the early 1900s.

In a statement released to Decider, the Gaineses said, “It’s always been our desire to highlight inspiring, authentic storytelling on Magnolia Network.

We’re excited to be able to share these stories now with an even wider audience. We can’t wait to bring these stories we love — including our next adventure, Fixer Upper: The Castle — to HBO Max this September.”

In the meantime, people from HBO Max have said that they are excited to see the famous couple’s work on the streaming service for the first time.

Casey Bloys, chief content officer for HBO and HBO Max, said, “Chip and Jo are without a doubt the most beloved duo in the home renovation and lifestyle space, with a legion of fans who have followed them from Fixer Upper to the launch of their very own network.”

They added, “We’re so excited to welcome them to the HBO Max family.”

Some people think that adding the Gaineses to HBO Max and the rest of WarnerMedia’s family was a last-ditch effort to save WarnerMedia’s streaming business. AV Club reported, “If only the Gaineses could take a swing at fixing up WarnerMedia’s financial strategy and rescue one of the best streaming services out there.”

Now that the Gaines content has been added to the new streaming service roster, everyone is waiting until the fall to see how well it will perform.

How about you? If you are a fan of Chip and Joanna Gaines are you also excited to witness their debut on a streaming platform?
