Bruce Willis and Demi Moore’s daughter Tallulah reveals recent diagnosis

In a heartwarming Instagram post, Tallulah Willis, the youngest daughter of Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, shared a precious childhood memory of her dad carrying her on the red carpet. This post also hinted at an unexpected diagnosis she recently received. Let’s delve into Tallulah’s condition and learn more about her story!

The video clip that Tallulah shared on Instagram showcased her as a child playfully interacting with her father’s head while he spoke to the media at a film premiere. Alongside the clip, she wrote, “tell me you’re autistic without telling me you’re autistic [sic],” inviting her followers to engage in a dialogue about autism.

The response to Tallulah’s post was overwhelmingly positive, with many of her 408,000 followers showing love and support for the adorable moment in the clip. Some also shared their knowledge of autism and discussed Tallulah’s symptoms and her father’s loving reaction. One user commended Bruce for his care and said, “Your dad is one-of-a-kind honey, and so are you.”

During an exchange with a psychologist specializing in neurodivergent conditions, Tallulah revealed that this was the first time she publicly disclosed her diagnosis. She discovered her autism diagnosis last summer, and it has had a significant impact on her life.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability that affects social communication, interaction, and behavior. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), individuals with ASD often display restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. Tallulah’s sister, Scout LaRue Willis, shed further light on the matter by explaining that Tallulah’s actions in the video, such as playing with her father’s ear, are a form of stimming. Stimming helps individuals regulate sensory input.

Tallulah’s revelation comes as she, Scout LaRue, and Rumer Willis continue to show love and support for their father amidst his battle with aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Bruce Willis was diagnosed with FTD, a degenerative condition primarily affecting communication and behavior, in 2023. One of the early symptoms he exhibited was aphasia, which affects language skills.

At present, Tallulah has not provided further details about her diagnosis. The disclosure, however, has touched the hearts of many, highlighting the strength and resilience of the Willis family. We extend our best wishes to Tallulah and her family as they navigate this new chapter.
