Brigitte Bardot is now 88 years old and still looks lovely.

Brigitte Bardot, dubbed the quintessential sex symbol of the 1960s, conquered the globe when she first appeared on television.

This blonde beauty, who has influenced many fashion trends throughout the years, began her modeling career at 15, appearing on the cover of Elle magazine. She didn’t take long to look for a site under the Hollywood sign.

Bardot made her film debut as Javotte Lemoine in Crazy for Love in 1952, and her first American project was Act of Love with Kirk Douglas in 1953. But it wasn’t until she secured a job in And God Created Women in 1956 that she developed her famous sex kitten’ character. In America, the film was considered controversial, yet it helped Bardot reinvent the image of the modern lady.

“I’m a girl from a respectable family who was raised well. “I turned my back on it all one day and became a bohemian,” she once stated.

In 1965, she featured as herself in the American-made Dear Brigitte alongside James Stewart. Still, the picture didn’t seem to be a significant success and the American audience was demanding to please, but despite this, the obsession with beautiful Bardot developed over the years.

People had high expectations for her when she acted alongside Sean Connery in the Western film Shalako in 1968, but the film garnered mixed reviews.

Bardot quit performing while still a massive star in 1973 at 39. Several people were perplexed by her decision, but she had her reasons.
“The vast majority of brilliant actresses died tragically. “I was saving my life when I said farewell to this career, to this life of grandeur and glitter, images and adoration, the yearning to be desired,” Bardot told The Guardian.

“At first, I enjoyed having people talk about me, but it quickly suffocated and ruined me. Over my 20 years of acting, I would have herpes every time production started.”

Upon her retirement, she devoted all of her time and energy to a cause near her heart, animal rights, becoming one of the world’s leading animal rights activists and the founder of the “Foundation Brigitte Bardot.”

“I gave guys my youth and beauty. “Today I’m offering animals my wisdom and experience, the better half of myself,” she once said.

“She didn’t get much attention from her parents, and when we started dating, she didn’t want jewelry, but a puppy,” said Roger Vadim, director of And God Created Beauty and Brigitte’s first husband.

“She was always allergic to fame, power, and everything associated with success.

Over the years, Bardot’s group has done a lot for animals. Among other things, it provides conservation programs. It has also funded a wild animal hospital in Chile and built shelters for abused bears in Bulgaria, koalas in Australia, and elephants in Thailand.

Vogue named Bardot “the most beautiful French actress of all time,” and the 88-year-old still dazzles with her beauty.

She now lives in the French coastal town of La Madrague with her fourth husband, a wealthy businessman named Bernard d’Orma.

Asked what gives her strength to start her days, Bardot told Vogue, “The suffering of animals,” and added: “You undoubtedly know that I find walking difficult these days. I can’t go on lengthy hikes or swim anymore. But I’m fortunate in comparison to what animals endure. The thousands of letters I receive daily attest to the horrors these animals continue to face.”

Brigitte Bardot is an unmistakable icon.
