Brendan Fraser was moved to tears once more after receiving a standing ovation for ‘The Whale.’

Brendan Fraser became emotional yet again during another standing ovation for his performance in “The Whale.”

According to the Daily Mail, the audience gave the film a five-minute standing ovation following its screening at the BFI London Film Festival on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old actor sobbed as he bowed to the cheers and applause of the British Film Institute audience.

This isn’t the first time a standing ovation has made Fraser cry. He became emotional during a six-minute standing ovation for his performance in the Darren Aronofsky-directed film at the Venice International Film Festival in early September.

The standing O gave audience members a sense of déjà vu.

“Am I really in Venice? Brendan Fraser’s masterpiece performance in #TheWhale received a 5-minute standing ovation. Throughout the film, he had the audience in the palm of his hand. “My heart is in my throat,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“I’ve never seen a standing ovation at the London Film Festival before, but Brendan Fraser just blew the roof off,” said another.

“One of the most amazing moments I’ve experienced in a cinema. Brendan Fraser’s performance as ‘Charlie’ in #TheWhale received a standing ovation at #LFF,” ITN reporter Lucy Jones tweeted.

On October 11, 2022, director Darren Aronofsky (left), actor Brendan Fraser, and screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter attend the UK premiere of “The Whale” at the 66th BFI London Film Festival.

Fraser appears in Darren Aronofsky’s psychological drama “The Whale” as a 600-pound gay man in a wheelchair. After abandoning his family for his lover, his character tries to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter, played by “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink.

The film marks the actor’s return to Hollywood after battling depression following an alleged sexual assault by a former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president in 2003.
