Austin Butler’s homage to Lisa Marie Presley at the Golden Globes has gone viral.
A video of Austin Butler paying respect to Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley and ex-wife Priscilla Presley at the Golden Globes has gone viral.
This came after the death of Lisa Marie, Elvis’s only daughter, at 54.
Butler earned the Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama award for his depiction of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s biopic Elvis.
“I want to thank the Presley family,” he said during his acceptance speech, referring to Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley.
“Thank you very much, gentlemen. Thank you for sharing your hearts, memories, and home with me. Lisa Marie, Priscilla, I will always love you.”

Lisa Marie and Priscilla Presley were in attendance at the 80th Golden Globes in support of Butler just two days before her death.
Lisa Marie Presley was described as “an incredibly brilliant singer/songwriter” by the Golden Globes organizers, who said she was “a very welcome presence” at Tuesday’s (10 January) awards.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of Lisa Marie Presley’s death,” the statement said. “May you find serenity.”
Lisa Marie Presley died after being rushed to the hospital for unknown reasons, her mother, Priscilla, revealed in a statement on Thursday.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must deliver the heartbreaking news that my darling daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” said the message. “She was the most passionate, powerful, and loving woman I’d ever met.”
The news of her death came hours after she’d been “rushed to hospital.”
According to Craig Little, a Los Angeles County Fire Department representative, paramedics were dispatched to a Calabasas house at 10.37 a.m. following a report of a woman in full cardiac arrest.
According to TMZ, they performed CPR on Presley before transporting her to the hospital for additional care.
Many friends, fans, and colleagues remembered Lisa Marie Presley.
“Lisa baby girl, I’m very sorry,” John Travolta wrote on Instagram in response to the news.
“I’ll miss you, but I’m confident I’ll see you again. Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley have my love and heart.”
“It’s hard to take when someone so youthful and full of life passes away,” Beach Boys singer Brian Wilson said.
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan sent his condolences to the family via Twitter, writing, “There is heartbreak, and then there is sorrow.
“This would be heartbreak on more levels than I can list. Please keep her family and children in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. “I just cannot find the words to explain how heartbreaking this is.”
