Adele Cries When She Discovers An Elderly Man In The Audience Has Showed Her A Photo Of His Late Wife

Adele burst into tears after discovering that an elderly man in the audience at her Las Vegas residency had shown her a photo of his late wife on his phone. When she realized the woman was his late wife, the famous singer had to address the touching moment on stage.

From November 2022 to March 2023, the “Hello” singer will host “Weekends With Adele,” her first Las Vegas concert series, at Caesars Palace. The Grammy-winning star was performing “When We Were Young” on the night of her show on Jan. 27, 2023, when she walked through the crowd to interact with the audience. She noticed the elderly man flashing his wife’s picture but didn’t realize the full story until halfway through the concert.

“Weekends With Adele” has a routine act in which Adele comes down from the stage to chat or pose for selfies with her fans. Many of these moments have gone viral on social media because they show Adele’s sense of humor and rapport with the audience.

Adele was amused after a fan took their photo and applied too many filters. Adele appeared surprised but gently reminded the fan, “We don’t look like that, darling.”

Adele also met Rebecca, a fan celebrating her divorce by watching the show with her girlfriends. The “Chasing Pavements” singer learned that Adele’s music helped Rebecca get through a difficult time in her marriage, and the pop superstar addressed her on stage by acknowledging that relationships falling apart can be “really traumatic.”

Adele’s reaction to the widower, on the other hand, moved millions of her fans to tears. With over 14 million views, the TikTok video uploaded on @adeleaccess has the most views of any other video.

The elderly man in the video held up his phone as the British singer walked past him. He also made a motion with his hand on his heart. Adele appeared to ignore the old man initially, but when she returned to the stage to sing “Someone Like You,” she became emotional.

“This is for you, sir, who is showing me pictures of his wife on his phone,” Adele explained. “He’s just there. Can you see him holding his phone? I believe that’s his wife on his phone, and I don’t believe she’s here, and it just moved me.”

Adele then addressed the widower and apologized for not recognizing what he was trying to show her immediately. “I’m so sorry for your loss,” Adele said between tears.

Adele then told the audience how moved she was by the many stories she heard from them. “I wish you could see what I see,” she exclaimed.

Adele hinted in one of her other shows that she dreaded performing live because it terrified her. Adele did not consider herself a touring artist before her Las Vegas residency. Still, based on the success of this concert series, the “Easy on Me” singer admitted she is learning to find joy and fulfillment in that aspect of her job.

“Weekends With Adele” appears to be an immersive experience for Adele fans! What are your thoughts on her reaction to the widower? Tell someone you know who is a huge fan about this story!
