During the latest episode of “Saturday Night Live,” the hosts took aim at Sean “Diddy” Combs and Prince Andrew. The jokes targeted Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles related to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges. Weekend Update co-hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost spared no one, delivering laughs while covering current events and pop culture.

One joke from Che went like this: “It was reported that last month, the U.S. added 245,000 new jobs. Unfortunately, they were all ‘Diddy Accuser.'” The comedic punchline drew both laughter and gasps from the audience. Interestingly, Diddy himself had previously appeared on “Saturday Night Live” as a musical guest in 1998 and once participated in a skit with Robert De Niro in 2013.

Che continued: “It was announced that Sean P. Diddy Combs’ sex trafficking case has been assigned to a new judge, one that Diddy hopes is cool with rapes.” The audience’s reaction to this joke was mixed, as it touched on the seriousness of the charges against Diddy.

The segment then shifted its focus to an old interview with Diddy on “The Graham Norton Show,” where he revealed his desire for Prince William and Prince Harry to attend his parties when they were younger. Christopher Andersen, the author of “The King,” shared his thoughts on this situation, stating, “Diddy invited both William and Harry back when, as he put it, the brothers ‘were young bucks’ getting into trouble themselves… Obviously, in their youth, both princes made plenty of headlines with their party animal antics at nightclubs in and around London.” Andersen went on to reveal that the invitations were never accepted, with William and Harry ultimately avoiding involvement with Diddy’s social scene.

Jost added his comedic touch by saying, “It was reported that Diddy once invited Prince Harry and Prince William to one of his parties, but they did not go. Although, before Diddy could even finish writing the invite, Prince Andrew was there.” This reference to Prince Andrew, who has faced allegations related to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, added another layer of intrigue to the jokes.

Despite the humor, it is important to remember the seriousness of the charges against Diddy and the impact of the Epstein scandal. Nevertheless, “Saturday Night Live” continues to find ways to engage its audience through topical and humorous commentary.
