Goldie Hawn discusses the ‘ugly’ reason she and Kurt Russell will never marry.

They’ve been together longer than many married celebrity couples, yet they’re not married.

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are one of Hollywood’s most adored couples, and while they remain entirely loyal to one other, the prospects of them marrying are minimal to none.

“Why should we?” Isn’t that a more pertinent question?” When CNN’s Chris Wallace inquired why the two weren’t married, Hawn said.

Hawn, 77, recently appeared on Wallace’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace? show, where the two addressed her aversion to marrying Russell.

“When things don’t work out, it becomes big business,” Hawn explained.

The actress, whose previous two marriages ended in divorce, remarked that divorce is “always ugly.”

“Someone needs to take a look and ask, ‘How many divorces are fun?'” How many divorces are truly free of charge? How many divorces make you loathe the person even more than before? “How many divorces have caused harm to children?”

Like Wallace, one may claim that Hawn and Russell would not divorce because they had been together for 40 years, but no one knows. Furthermore, Hawn likes waking up every morning and deciding to be in a relationship.

“I mean, relationships are hard,” she continued. “They aren’t always simple. We have to overcome numerous obstacles. We agree on things we believe in and things we don’t believe in.”

“So, ultimately, I think staying independent with independent thinking is important, so you can hold on to yourself and actually have that feeling,” she says.
