Alan and Denise Jackson are now grandparents.

The couple received their first grandchild two days before their 43rd wedding anniversary on Friday, December 15.

High school sweethearts Alan and Denise were wed on December 15, 1979, when Alan was 21 and Denise was 19. The couple reconciled nearly two decades after they separated, but they never divorced and have been living happily ever after.

Their three daughters are Dani Grace (born in 1997), Mattie Denise Selecman (born in 1990), and Alexandra Jane “Ali” (born in 1993). The middle child is Ali. She is the first of her siblings to give birth, so Denise and Alan can now call her their grandchild.

On Instagram, Alan Jackson shared pictures of himself and his wife holding the newborn as they shared their happy news. The infant was in Denise’s arms as the two were seated on a couch with Alan wearing his fabled cowboy hat all around them. The ‘grandparent glow’ of the new generation was evident.

“Denise and I are celebrating our 43rd wedding anniversary with Jackson Alvie Bradshaw, our newest grandchild. Ali and Sam welcomed Jack into the world on December 13, 2022. That this youngster has become our grandparents fills me with joy. Alan added a caption. They have been anticipating this day for a while.

Alan Jackson shared a picture of his family in front of a huge fireplace. In that picture, Ali showed a baby bulge that has since disappeared. Alan was pictured with his wife, three daughters, and the three important men to each of them. Oh, and there were also their two dogs.

In his 40 years in the music business, Alan Jackson has released 16 studio albums, three “Greatest Hits” albums, two gospel albums, and two Christmas albums. Few musicians have sold as many records worldwide as he has, 44 million of which were sold in the United States.

Because of this, Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan awarded Alan Jackson the Willie Nelson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2018 Country Music Awards. “An iconic performer who has attained the highest level of recognition in Country Music” is the recipient.

I’ve had a fantastic team of songwriters by my side throughout my career. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have all that support to help me go this far. I can’t thank everyone who has been a part of my life over the years, but I must thank my wife Denise, who is somewhere in the audience, he added in his speech.

The Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2018, and the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019 are the three Halls of Fame that Jackson has been admitted into during the past 20 years. “I’ve lived the American dream,” he added, adding that he was still doing so.
