After less than two years of marriage, Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster have called it quits.

According to court filings, the 50-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 37-year-old One Tree Hill alum in January and cited their separation date as the 10th of that month.

The document did not specify the reason for the couple’s divorce.

VanSanten and Webster’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The couple celebrated three weddings in 2021, beginning with a modest and impromptu civil ceremony outside Pasadena City Hall in California on Aug. 9 — her grandparents’ wedding day, according to Brides.

“The heartbreak was unbearable when my grandfather unexpectedly died on Father’s Day; I had planned on him walking me down the aisle in Minnesota,” VanSanten told the newspaper. “Amid my grief, I looked at Victor and said I wanted to do a spontaneous civil ceremony on my grandparents’ wedding date, August 9,” she explained.

“The thought of my grandparents reuniting and watching over our ceremony from above brought me some peace,” she continued. “They had been married for 63 years and shared such a deep love.” They demonstrated to me that love is a choice that requires effort. Their love was never flawless, but it was always pure.”

The second celebration was held in Napa, California, in October, and the third at her hometown of Luverne, Minnesota, so her elderly family could attend.

VanSanten and Webster planned to marry in February 2020. They dated for four years before that, after meeting on the set of the Hallmark movie Love Blossoms in 2017.

VanSanten described Webster’s proposal as “the most perfect, wonderful day of my entire life.” “I’m also looking forward to marrying my best friend.”

“Relationships aren’t easy — you have to fight for them, you have to work for them,” the For All Mankind actress continued. “We did that, worked hard, and now feel settled.” “I’m overjoyed that we get to start our lives together.”
