According to a shocking new revelation, Kevin Costner wishes to “humiliate” his wife by making her life a “living hell.”
Everyone has heard about Kevin Costner’s public divorce from his estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner. However, things appear to worsen when a source makes some unsettling discoveries.
Kevin Costner’s divorce is making the rounds on the internet these days. Update after update reveals how the estranged couple fights over the specifics of their divorce.
The story initially broke when Costner’s separated wife, Christine Baumgartner, refused to leave their home and demanded a hefty payment for child support.
According to ET, Baumgartner and her attorney attended the hearing in person, while Costner did so through Zoom while remaining silent. Laura Wasser, Costner’s lawyer, was present.
The decision gives Costner a victory in one of the most contentious areas of their divorce. Baumgartner refused to leave the house, even though their prenup provided that she had 30 days to leave after filing for divorce.
She told Page Six that she would only go if Costner agreed to pay “whatever support fee orders the court makes” at their impending divorce hearing on July 12.
On the other hand, Costner petitioned the courts to evict her and compel her to follow the conditions of their prenup.
Baumgartner and Costner had been married for 18 years until Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1st, alleging “irreconcilable differences.” The filing allegedly took Costner by surprise.
Baumgartner’s pal has now come out with supposed inside information. She claims Costner only wants “revenge” on his separated wife.
“This isn’t about the house, it’s about making Christine’s life a living hell for actually going through with the divorce,” the insider claimed.
The 49-year-old former handbag designer was given until the end of the month to evacuate the Santa Barbara property she shared with her 68-year-old husband. A judge upheld the couple’s pre-marital arrangement, which they signed in 2004.
“Christine said she wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin had her escorted off the property by police,” according to the source. “It was Christine who wanted to make this transition as peaceful as possible for the children’s sake,” the source continued.
“Kevin has done exactly the opposite. “He’s not thinking about the kids or how traumatic this is for them,” the insider bemoaned.
Although Costner has stated that he will pay Baumgartner $30,000 per month to rent a new home, plus $10,000 for moving expenses, an insider has stated that this money is insufficient.
